A very warm welcome to our school’s Archives.
In the Archive at St George’s, Edinburgh we have a unique collection of documents relating the history of the school as well as materials by and about St George’s students and staff.
These records establish, maintain and develop the individual and collective history of the school, its staff and students and its place within the history of girls’ and women’s education.
The digitising of our Archives is a long-term project to provide wider access to some of this collection – this is just the start!
This stage includes:
- Origins of St George’s Training College and High School
- A selection of the school magazines, The Chronicle
- Whole School photographs
- Photographs through the decades from the 1890s – 1990s
The whole school community will have open access to this resource and eventually open access will be extended to the wider public.
